I have over 40 years of experience
I have been playing electric guitar for over 40 years. I've been in bands from original to covers, in which I've played rhythm, lead guitar and sung.
I have featured on BBC 3 Counties Radio several times.
I have been writing with a major label record producer, and played the Royal Albert Hall for a band as a session musician.
I have taught young children, I'm DBS checked and am very patient.

Over the years that my daughter has been having lessons with Carl, I have come to know Carl as a dedicated musician and teacher. He consistently reaches out in his own educational goals, thus enabling himself to grow as a teacher as well as musician.
Carl has taught my daughter to have a growing appreciation of the art of music. She enjoys all his lessons which are structured and well prepared with the focus developing my daughter's playing, singing and music theory. My daughter is making excellent progress and growing in confidence with playing the guitar and singing.I would not hesitate at all in recommending Carl to any guitar player or singer looking for a teacher.

Albeit brief Carl Dawson gave my son guitar lessons in our home. He offered a very high standard of tuition and was very informative and knowledgeable. He has a very friendly and approachable disposition and nature and I would highly recommend him to teach others.

I've been having weekly guitar lessons with Carl as a mature adult and am very impressed with his excellent guitar abilities but he is also a very friendly and methodical teacher with great attention to detail, very patient and is encouraging which makes me want to progress.
The studio is smart, relaxed and a great place to learn with the facilities to get a great guitar tone or play loud with in house effects boxes and recording facilities or even a cuppa!

Our son has been taking guitar lessons with Carl for just over a year. In this time we have found him to be a very patient and calm teacher, resulting in a relaxed teaching environment. Carl has actively encouraged and introduced our son to new musical genres and willingly adapts his teaching style accordingly.
